I listened to Sports Illustrated NBA Podcasts, Episode 30: NBA Draft Preview, this one was all audio and I subscribed to it because I am an avid fan of basketball scouting. The audio ones can get a bit monotone at times and though it was present here, I enjoyed how in-depth they went at analyzing prospects and bringing in Chris Ekstrand. I did not put this on my ipod, though I did like their analysis and their expert opinions which had a high success rate.
"We go places without cell phone signal, and we solve our problems, in single files we go down dusty trails where it smells like pine trees and sage, we grow closer and help eachother steer our lives."
I stumbled upon The Dirtbag Diaries by Fitz Cahill and was attracted by the cover of a man dusted with snow walking in the cold. In The Way of the Underdog he tells a story of a man named Jason, it appears that I shouldn't care about some random guy, he's a normal kid, however this isn't about the story, but the way its told. The way you can sense how real and in tune Jason and his friends are. The short musical interludes and incredibly vivid memories make this podcast special. The Way of The Underdog also has an inspiring appeal to it, the emotions they express are very easy to relate to. I will definitely be falling asleep to this one on my Ipod sooner than later.
